Fourth Thursday in November is Thanksgiving Day which is originally started in USA. It is a day for American people family get-together. So, when referring this festival, American would feel gracious. Most foreign teachers and their family members in our college are from America. In order to celebrate this festival with homeland, all foreign teachers organized the dinner party spontaneously.
In the evening of Nov. 28th 2009, all foreign teachers and some Chinese teachers organized dinner party at home of an American teacher Kathryn. President Mr. Sun Cheng was invited, too. Most teachers tried their best to cook their favorite food for others to taste. They prepared Western food such as turkey, pizza and various baked cakes, and Yunnan local food Dai flavor chicken, etc. It was a real China and Western dinner party. Western knife and fork, and Chinese chopsticks were put together. While enjoying delicious food, teachers were studying cross culture. At 9:30, the party was drawing to a close. Smile on teachers’ faces blew the coldness of winter away.
