Yang Hongwei, Han minority, is a member of Democratic Advanced Group. She is 42 years old and got the master degree with education.

She catches opportunities and leads all staff to make the College into great-leap-forward developing without any governmental investment. At present, there are more than ten thousand students on campus. The capital asserts has reached to 350 million yuan. The college has cultivated 12 thousand applied talents for society. This not only saves more than 100 million educational fees for government, but also takes positive effect for society stabilization and state economic construction.
Due to her long-term management in higher vocational college, board chairwoman Yang Hongwei is working diligently. She is loyal to education. She is working with her enthusiasm and has proposed many new innovative suggestions for higher non-government-run vocational education. For example, she put forward pathway of talents training in vocational education. She definitely thinks that vocational education is career instruction and educational quality is the destination. She researches and practises the ideals “operated by experts, stood by qualities, strengthened by features and developed by employment”. Depend on her rich experience of running a school, she led all staff to achieve the fast development with open attitude. They shape immaterial fortune and special experience of the College, which is cooperative, scientific, high efficient teamwork spirit and service system. Her conception of running a school and her experience become the yardstick of Yunnan non-government-run education. She becomes one of the best influential leaders of Yunnan non-government-run higher vocational college.
Board Chairwoman Yang Hongwei is a member of Democratic Advanced Group in Yunnan province committee. She is also a director of China’s Non-government-run Education Group and vice-president of Yunnan Non-government-run Education Advanced Group. She is warmhearted to commonweal project and takes care of poor students. In 2006, she wrote the article of Establish Haiyuan Harmonious Comminity of Culture Education which is an important suggestion for driving the economic and cultural development in Haiyuan community. The useful solutions for poor students include decreasing fee, providing work-study program opportunities to help the students finish their study and so on. In 2007, she took part in the Yunnan Vocational Education Warm Project and donated about 100 thousand.
Board chairwoman Yang Hongwei won the prize of “Excellent in Social Activities of China’s Democratic Advanced Group Yunnan Committee” in 2006, “Excellent Member of China’s Vocational Education Group Yunnan Branch” in 2007. She was appointed to Australia’s government-run university as a government-sponsored overseas student of China’s Western Project to learn higher educational management.
Because of her long-term teaching management practice, Board chairwoman Yang Hongwei created new experience for Yunnan higher vocational education. The scientific research topics she wrote are Research of Yunnan Non-government-run Higher School Students Management Mode finished in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Yunnan Higher Education Seminar, The Construction of Teaching Quality Monitor System for Yunnan College of Business Management the project in Yunnan Higher Vocational Education Branch in 2007 and so on. She has a lot of theses, such as Winning Honors for Yunnan Non-government-run Education with Progress, The Main Effect of Vocational Education in Western Construction, andExpedition and Consciousness for Australian Education etc.
